An Indian Environmentalist died yesterday ( May 21st)
SUNDERLAL BAHUGUNA
(Gandhian Pioneer of Indian Environmentalism, Chipko Movement Leader)
Sunderlal Bahuguna was a passionate defender of the Himalayan People, working for temperance, the plight of the Hill people. He also struggled to defend India's rivers.
He was one of the early environmentalists of India.
He got Padma Vibhushan award in 2009.

Sunderlal Bahuguna tested positive for Covid-19 and was hospitalized on 8th May 2021, he died on 21st May 2021 , at the age of 94
